Legal Assistant - Personal Injury (Causation) – Cardiff

A long-established and innovative organisation is seeking a Legal Assistant to investigate all aspects of personal injury cases with from start to finish in the heart of Cardiff.

This is not your typical personal injury role as there is a lot more investigation work so this role would suit someone who enjoys and excels at really delving into the detail of a file. Whether it is trawling social media, bank statements, phone records, telematics data, CCTV, weather records, school records or speaking to witnesses, employers and gyms, the list is endless and the level of detail that is required is significant.

You need to be extremely organised, proactive and to think on your feet as the role will need you to chase lots of information and actively engage with your client and your opponent.

You will also need to be a strong communicator that is not easily rattled as your opponent will often be a law firm who are market leaders in defending suspected fraudulent claims.

Should you need to issue court proceedings, you will also need to comply with court dates and timetables.

While full training will be delivered it is essential that you can demonstrate at least 12 months experience of running litigated personal injury files.

Experience of post-litigated work would be an advantage but is not necessarily required.

You should also have a Law Degree or equivalent qualification, but applications without this qualification will be considered if you have significant experience in dealing with fraudulent personal injury claims.
