Job Details

We are looking for a Corporate Tax lawyer with strong academics, coupled with evidence of good quality training and experience, to join our “market leading” (Chambers) corporate tax team. We will also consider qualified tax professionals with a non-legal background and excellent advisory experience.

You should display enthusiasm, energy and flexibility. The role will involve working between our Bristol headquarters and our London office.

Team

Our “premier tax team” (Legal 500) provides an expanding national and international client base with a full range of services. As well as building relationships with a wide range of clients, the team continually seeks to deliver an exceptional quality of service to those clients. The team undertakes tax work on a standalone basis as well as playing an integral role in supporting a wide range of transactions. We work collaboratively within the firm to develop our business by providing exceptional client service. Working on a national and international scale, highlights include advising on major M&A and private equity transactions, real estate development and acquisitions, investment structures and financing transactions, as well as tax litigation and employee related advisory work.

Opportunity

We are now looking to expand the team further. We are, therefore, looking to recruit a driven and ambitious tax professional. As well as being commercially focused and technically strong, we are looking for someone who wants to take responsibility quickly in an atmosphere that supports and rewards commitment and collaboration. We will consider both lawyers and other tax professionals, but a focus on detail and the quality of client delivery is critical.

We would look to support you in developing your skills rapidly and in taking on early responsibility for both transactional and advisory work.

We also have a strong record, and a very high pass rate, in supporting recently qualified individuals who wish to take their CTA exams.

There will be opportunities to take on a sector focused role and to build your profile both within the firm and externally. In addition to dealing with general advisory work (both contentious and non-contentious), M&A, corporate restructurings, international tax issues, real estate and funds work, there will be opportunity to develop specialisms in strategic areas. The corporate tax team works closely with the firm's high profile private wealth team and there will be opportunity to develop skills that enable us to provide a seamless service to clients requiring both business and private wealth advice.
