Your new role
Working alongside key senior members of the firm, you will lead and manage the compliance and risk team. Your role will be key in influencing and directing all aspects of compliance, quality and risk management, standards, complaints and concerns. You will take responsibility for ensuring the risk and compliance requirements are met, ensure risks (legal and regulatory) are identified and addressed accordingly, and provide impartial advice and guidance. You will work proactively to implement relevant programmes and embed a culture of compliance and standards across the firm's offices. Furthermore you will manage quality standards such as Lexcel and Investors in People, you will manage audit processes, as well as any required training. You will be commercially aware, able to keep up to speed with future changes, and prepare management reports on key compliance activity.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be highly experienced in a similar, Head of Compliance / Risk role - leading a team and ultimately taking responsibility for ensuring compliance standards are met. Ideally you will have held this experience within a legal setting. You will have experience working closely with, and preparing reports for, a management board, summarising trends, successes and future challenges. You will be strategic in approach and commercially minded, and experienced in general compliance, conflicts, anti-money laundering, data protection etc. You will also be degree educated, ideally with further legal qualification.
