Job Details
This top tier law firm based in the centre of Birmingham is now looking to recruit an experienced law costs draftsman / costs lawyer on a full time, permanent basis. The firm can offer you a great benefits package, along with a highly competitive salary.
As a law costs draftsman / costs lawyer in this top 100 law firm, you will join the firms clinical negligence team advising private clients on complaints and claims involving all types of medical negligence. Within this role, your key duties will include: Drafting bills of costs for detailed assessment, drafting replies to points of dispute, drafting costs budgets and liaising with the opponent, undertaking negotiations, preparing applications and working in line with internal SLAs and costs team benchmarks.
In order to be considered for this law costs draftsman / costs lawyer role, you must have 2 years+ experience, have experience managing a full caseload, have a good understanding of the CPR, have experience working in personal injury costs, using CostsMaster, billing and recording targets and having excellent communication skills.
