Job Details

FTSE100 multinational client has retained Sellick Partnership exclusively to manage the recruitment of a highly commercial, and astute legal counsel, to work within a truly global team. Hands-on and 'visible', you will thrive in an intellectually challenging, commercial environment, where you will enjoy working on a variety of tasks.

Your day to day tasks will involve, but not limited to:

- Act as legal liaison to multiple distributor businesses, commercial teams and legal departments for group functions to ensure compliance and to mitigate risk.

- Conducting legal research into complex and varied international legal issues

- Developing procedural policies to mitigate risk to the business

- Reporting to GC to oversee compliance to legal policies for key commercial contracts.

To succeed in this role you'll need to be resilient, capable of operating independently, and you will have strong contracts drafting skills. M&A experience would be desirable although not essential, as would commercial property law exposure. Your skill set and interest can, to an extent, determine your role within this interesting, diverse and highly commercial (and successful) business.

You will be a lawyer with a track record in commercial law (be that from a contracts, corporate, M&A, projects, or banking background) and possess 5+ years' PQE, ideally gained at a major commercial law firm or well respected in house team.

Although the organisation is open on areas of specialism and levels of experience, what is key for them is your personality. They are looking for an individual with a real level of intuition, and a flexible approach to problem -solving. You will be empathetic, commercial, with the ability to think clearly under pressure.
