Job Details

Opportunity for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join this small but high quality practice to form part of a progression plan and move into a Partnership role.

You will need to have gained experience from a Legal 500 OR regional practice that deal with high quality work as you will be expected to run a caseload unsupervised and deal. Whilst there is a substantial amount of work in place you will still be expected to maintain relationships with existing loyal clients as well as generate new business, however if you do have a following to bring then that will be welcomed.

You will be dealing a mix of residential development, land purchases, landlord and tenant work, leasehold, freehold and shared ownership matters , land registry matters as well as acquisitions and disposals. You will also gain exposure to agricultural properties such as sales and farm tenancy matters.

The current Partner has a progression plan to retire in the near future and so they are seeking a commercially focused Solicitor to hand the reigns over to. You will be included in all decision making and have the opportunity to shape the department whilst working with the existing team in place. This is a small firm so you will have autonomy as well as being able to strike a nice work / life balance in comparison to the larger city practices.

Salary will be based on PQE level but will be in the region of £50,000 initially, with Partner benefits added on once any hand over has been completed.

QED
An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".
