Legal Manager

Brand new role - Legal Manager required to establish an In-house legal function for a unique and highly ambitious, rapidly expanding and pioneering business in the online protection sector.

Culture compatibility is key in this appointment and you will be expected to feel as passionately about the sector and the business/brand as is demonstrated by the current team throughout the company. They are extremely proud of what they do - and rightly so.

This is a genuinely fast-paced environment and requires a commercial lawyer who is comfortable with constant change and you must be someone who thrives in such an environment. The position requires a hard-working, pragmatic and flexible individual who recognises the importance of the business and its goals in protecting individuals, businesses and brands, across various sectors including; pharmaceuticals, aviation, entertainment and luxury goods to name a few. They work with some of the biggest brands on the planet.

You'll report directly to the Chairman, although there is an absence of hierarchy within the organisation and everyone is expected to pull in the same direction.

The role would suit someone who was keen to make a difference and prove influential, given the business is still at a relatively small (albeit rapidly expanding) stage of its own development. Energy and innovation are essential pre-requisites - as is a confident and robust personality, capable of working alongside an extremely successful sales team.

This legal manager role is required as the business becomes more sophisticated in both its offering and volume of business - knowledge of (or at least interest in) the tech sector would be a distinct advantage, as would previous experience in SaaS agreements.

We would anticipate this suiting a self-sufficient and confident commercial lawyer with somewhere in the region of 3-8 years PQE and the role is based in Leeds. Whilst this is an office-based position, there is flexibility in relation to hours (indicative of the culture) as it's more about getting the job done!
