An exciting opportunity has arisen to help Mind in its legal work and to expand its work to children and young people. You will be helping to scope and implement the expansion of our campaigning work and our information offer. As well as assisting with interventions in test case litigation, you will be involved in overseeing Mind’s legal helpline service, preparing written materials and providing training on mental health law, mental capacity, community care, discrimination, human rights and judicial review, and contributing to Mind’s policy and campaigns work.
You must be a qualified solicitor or barrister entitled to hold a practising certificate. You must have experience and knowledge of the law surrounding children with mental health problems, in particularly social care provision and education. In addition we want to hear from candidates who have some experience in our other areas of work as you will be required to pick these up.
To apply, please visit our website by clicking the apply button.
Closing date for completed application forms: 12 noon on 9 July 2018.
Interviews date: 19 July 2018
Mind is committed to equality of opportunity for all staff, and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.
