Job Details

Your new company
This multi-million pound turnover business, with a strong UK presence, is looking for a UK commercial contracts lawyer to work from its Head Office in the North West; easily commutable from Merseyside and Lancashire / Greater Manchester areas such as Wigan, St Helens, Preston, Bolton, Blackburn, Warrington, Southport, Formby or Liverpool. Following expansion of the business and to support plans for further growth, a permanent commercial contract solicitor is needed to focus on contracts drafting, managing in-house legal queries and legal projects.

Your new role
You will join a growing in-house legal team as the commercial contracts specialist, responsible for drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (both business to business and business to consumer agreements) including IT contracts, NDAs, terms and conditions, as well as providing general commercial advice including advice on IP and GDPR matters. You will also need to keep up to date with legal developments and regulations in order to remain compliant and provide accurate advice to the group.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK qualified lawyer, or a seasoned contracts manager, with solid experience in drafting commercial contracts. In-house secondment experience would be ideal and you will need to have excellent relationship building skills as you will be engaging with the business, the wider group of companies, third party contractors and external customers.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary up to c£50k depending on experience plus a benefits package including a car allowance, private medical cover, pension scheme and a corporate discount scheme. There is also an option for part-time working. You'll enjoy exposure to a fast-paced, commercial environment, developing your skills in-house in a fairly autonomous role. There is also free parking available onsite.
