A Family Solicitor is required to join a very successful firm based in the flagship Wigan offices. The role is handling a full caseload of private family matters, working closely alongside the Partner/Head of department. This is a very friendly and approachable firm and they are encouraging of a healthy work/life balance with flexible hours on offer if required.

This position is ideal for someone looking to settle within a well established firm and put down some roots. This role is working directly alongside the Head of department/Partner and as the department steadily grows, opportunities will arise for you to progress into a Senior Associate position if desired - either with management responsibilities or a senior fee earning role.

You will be handling a full caseload of private family matters with minimal supervision - divorce, finances, private child matters and separation agreements. You will have a full time secretary to assist with your caseload.

The firm are very known within the local area as they have been established for a long time and are one of Wigan's oldest firms. They have a very solid reputation and whilst they receive a number of referrals, they still conduct marketing to increase their exposure further.

This role would suit someone looking to join a friendly and successful firm - you are not heavily monitored or expected to reach unattainable targets - the targets in place are very realistic with the amount of work they receive and will be set between you and the partner. The firm are thriving currently and aim to slowly expand the department over the next year meaning opportunities to increase your responsibilities will arise.
