Are you an enthusiastic lawyer who wants to make a real difference in keeping your community safe from harm? Would you like the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, wideranging working environment? Do you enjoy developing individuals and leading a team?

We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our well regarded in-house team. Based in Exeter and working for two Police Forces covering Devon, Cornwall and Dorset, you will be both providing and supervising legal advice and representation to police officers and staff.

You must have a comprehensive knowledge of human rights, civil procedure rules, employment law, inquests and previous experience of handling contentious matters generally.

Your work will also cover general legal advice on various operational police matters, including civil preventative orders, disclosure and real-time advice on policing incidents.

You must be a qualified solicitor, barrister or Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. You must be able to demonstrate previous experience of working with a considerable and diverse workload in a demanding environment and be able to offer advice within time constraints.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake role specific training as indicated in the role profiles.

For further details or an informal discussion please contact Lucy Seymour, Head of Legal Services on 01392 226311 or visit the website below.
