Senior Debt Recovery Fee Earner

A position has arisen within a well-regarded regional law firm for a candidate, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in collections either with a law firm, debt collection agency or in-house credit control operation in a volume case environment.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the debt recovery service area in respect of its daily operations and caseload with the scope to build and manage a small team as the area grows. The caseload will predominantly be commercial debt recovery caseloads but will include some recoveries from 'consumers'.
You will be experienced in operating debt collection/credit control case management systems (CMS). Knowledge of Debt PAP and the money claim process from issue to judgment and enforcement is essential. Defended claims experience is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of insolvency procedures (statutory demands/winding up petitions) and service charge collections is desirable.
Ideally you will have a legal qualification such as CILEX but CICM and relevant experience will be considered as well as applications from other qualified lawyers.
