Job Details

Are you newly qualified and looking for an opportunity at a practice which I deem to be the most entrepreneurial firm in the UK?

The Firm

They have experienced huge growth in recent years, with the hire of some of the industries most talented and well-respected Lawyers. They have a heritage spanning over 200 years, built on solid foundations, however, what they have achieved in the last ten years is extremely impressive and unheard of. They have the backing of a £Billion fund which has identified the direction and vision of the firm is one of which they have partnered with to excel their growth.
You will find a strong management team which has invested in systems which have allowed staff to become streamlined and have several accolades of back office ways of working which proudly place them ahead of firms even ranked in the top 10. Their culture is one of positivity, enthusiasm and focused around the people that work there. They nurture legal talent and provide a career structure which is based on merit, without the usual confusing application process and box-ticking exercise, there are no glass ceilings here at all, with no earning limits and pointless pay grades which reward on a level of experience rather than taking into account the individual and the value they add to the firm. They house Lawyers who with their infrastructure, bill over £1million with little in the way of Secretarial support.
You will find an entrepreneurial culture and set trends, just recently they were approached by two International Top 20 firms who wanted to seek advice on how they manage client payments and cash flow just so efficiently.

As an experienced Recruiter, upon getting to know the firm, I feel they are truly unique, and I find their story, vision, and ways of working refreshing. They have room and continued plans to continue to grow, although they set the benchmark understandably high hiring people that do not only fit technically, cultural fit being of the utmost importance. What stood out to me, is their positive, friendly and team orientated approach.

The Role

This firm is looking for an excellent Newly Qualified Solicitor having held a seat in Employment interested in specialising in lucrative Pensions law and to join their flourishing office in Reading, Berkshire.

The Employment department is busy with a steady workflow and untapped potential from an existing customer base and caseload. The role will be working closely with the Head of Department and will involve advising a predominately corporate client base on a wide range of employment issues, both contentious and non-contentious.

You will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of the Pensions team and this will put you ahead of your years in terms of PQE.

  • You will be an Employment Solicitor NQ interested in specialising in Pensions
  • You will have held a seat in Employment or Pensions during your training contract
  • This role comes with excellent prospects of progression
  • Dealing with a high quality of work
  • Benefit from firm wide referral and networking processes
  • Salary is negotiable depending on experience but is above market rate

This is an outstanding opportunity for a newly qualified Employment Solicitor to join this growing practice based in Reading, Berkshire.
