Team
Our TMT lawyers have been involved in the tech sector for over 20 years, acting for tech vendors, corporates, financial institutions and government bodies, and Burges Salmon is consistently ranked top tier in the TMT sector by both Chambers and the Legal 500. Our lawyers have a "good understanding of issues" and are "regularly instructed on multijurisdictional projects" (Chambers). Our technology team is "extremely responsive, client focused and commercially astute." (Legal 500)
Key skills and experience
You will need excellent academics, together with evidence of good quality technology experience gained from a top firm. Adaptability and enthusiasm are critical. You should also be a strong teamplayer with excellent interpersonal, commercial and client skills.
Work
Our tech work is wide ranging. We are currently advising on 4 of the UK's connected and autonomous vehicles (or 'CAV') projects, on tech simulators in the energy sector, on payment systems in FINTEC and on multiple GDPR compliance projects.
Clients
Our marquee clients include one of the largest international payments processors, one of the largest social media organisations, one of the largest cloud providers, one of the world's 3 leaders in the provision of financial information and a global leader in data warehousing and big data analytics.
