Regulatory body are seeking an experienced Lawyer to join their office in Brighton, up to £90,000

This regulatory body are responsible for protecting workplace pensions in the UK. They work with employers and pension providers to help people save for retirement. Based in the heart of Brighton, they offer a diverse, lively and professional workplace and are committed to providing support to all employees to help them reach their full potential.

Your new role
As a Lawyer, you will provide risk-based pensions law advice on Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) occupational pensions and the new Master Trust regime in relation to casework, contentious cases, guidance and the development of new policies and strategies. You will participate in negotiations with trustees and/or employers, share knowledge of law, best practice and successful interventions with colleagues and across the Regulator as may be required. Finally, you will contribute to knowledge management processes.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you must be a Solicitor or Barrister with a current practicing certificate in England and Wales with sufficient and relevant post-qualification experience. It is essential to have knowledge of relevant pensions law and Acts, and it is desirable to have experience of advising employers, investors, lenders and trustees on the pensions aspects of corporate transactions including restructuring. You should have the ability to prioritise, have strong negotiating skills and be able to communicate at all levels.
