The Southampton and Fareham Legal Services Partnership (Southampton City Council and Fareham Borough Council) is an outcome focused service recognised for professional excellence and a finalist in five categories of the Lawyers in Local Government Awards 2017, including Legal Team of the Year and overall winner of Project Team of The Year 2017.

We provide strategic and professional advice and services covering all aspects of local government law.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and growing team during a period of significant transformation and major project delivery within the Councils supported by the Legal Partnership.

This role requires a degree or post graduate qualification or equivalent professional experience to assist the Council’s Data Protection Officer in providing high quality, timely advice in respect of Information Governance matters. In addition, you will be required to have an enabling and positive approach to finding solutions to complex problems, good appreciation of risk management and working flexibly across a multi skilled team supporting colleagues regardless of speciality is essential.
