Four district level councils in Suffolk have come together to create a single legal team, working across the county, providing innovative and solutions focused legal service to the four councils.

The Shared Legal Service team provides high-quality legal advice across several areas of law to include property, planning, commercial and litigation / licensing advice. They also support the administration framework along with the elected members and ensure that the councils dealings are lawful, and decisions are taken correctly.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor, fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives or barrister with experience of working in a busy legal office. You will have a 'can do' attitude and enjoy working as part of a team, sharing professional knowledge and learning. You will also have the ability to identify and exploit creative solutions and to inspire others, and lead and motivate staff.

In return the Babergh Mid-Suffolk benefits package includes a competitive salary and pension scheme, childcare vouchers, cycle to work scheme with flexible working arrangements, learning and development opportunities and generous annual leave entitlement.

* potentially rising to £41,846 through annual Performance Review awards.

If this is a challenge that you are interested in, we would like to hear from you.
