Solicitor/Legal Executive (Commercial) – Post Ref: CE136
Salary: PO1 - 10, £29,909 to £38,052 per annum (starting point dependent on experience)
37 hours per week, permanent post, based in central Halifax

Due to an increase in redevelopment and investment within the Calderdale region, we are seeking to recruit two experienced and enthusiastic commercial lawyers to join our growing Contracts Team. Each role requires somebody who is highly motivated, hardworking and able to work autonomously whilst still being able to work as part of a team.

The successful candidate(s) will have strong drafting and negotiating skills and will be working within a dynamic and challenging environment on a number of diverse and interesting projects and/or services. Having the ability to quickly grasp complex legal issues and being able to provide plain, jargon-free advice is a pre-requisite.

The successful candidate(s) will also provide good and comprehensive legal advice in the context of current public sector requirements. Experience of working in local government (or any other public body) and a working knowledge of public procurement law would therefore be an advantage.
