Lawyer/Solicitor/Barrister/Legal Executive (Childcare) – Post Ref: CE134

Salary: PO1 - 10, £29,909 to £38,052 per annum (starting point dependent on experience)

37 hours per week, permanent contract, based in central Halifax

We are seeking to recruit a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives who holds a Civil Proceedings Certificate (or who is a Legal Executive Advocate) to work within our Child Care Team.  Applicants for one of the two positions are particularly encouraged who have an interest in developing their advocacy practice.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of the law and practice relating to safeguarding children litigation and proven advocacy skills to represent the Council in contested proceedings. You will need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic and work effectively as part of a team.
