Solicitor/Lawyer (Adult Social Care) – Post Ref: CE135
Salary: PO1 - 10, £29,909 to £38,052 per annum (starting point dependent on experience)
37 hours per week, permanent contract, based in central Halifax

We have an opportunity for a qualified Solicitor or Barrister or Legal Executive to join our expanding team of Adult Social Care lawyers within Legal Services. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of the law within the area of specialism, effective advocacy skills and the ability to manage a demanding and varied caseload with minimal supervision including Court of Protection proceedings, deprivation of liberty cases and social debt. You will be able to prioritise your own workload and work to tight deadlines. You will have good client care and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide the client with sound advice and assistance to enable the Council to deliver its statutory duties in respect of safeguarding vulnerable adults. The ability to be flexible to assist other team members as required is essential.
