Job Details
This Top 100 firm has experienced significant growth in the last 24 months with the hire of several Partners into their flourishing London office. They have several offices nationally and a growing international presence. They have a different culture compared to that of most City practices; they have a much more relaxed, collaborative, and forward-thinking culture. Staff value more in the way of work-life balance and flexibility. They invest heavily in their workforce and are very progressive, their learning and development programme is widely respected in the legal sector and has been recognised by several industry awards. They are a cohesive, inclusive, and entrepreneurial organisation.
The firm has a San Francisco office; this office reinforces both its position as a leading US/UK inward investment specialist, and its cross-border M&A and international private wealth practices.
The role
The firm is seeking to hire a new Data Protection Lawyer into the London office.
The Data Protection department deals with a broad range of work advising both domestic and multi-national clients in all aspects of UK data protection and privacy laws, including data security, cross border transfers, consent issues, data controller/processor issues, e-mail marketing and social media campaigns and subject access requests. They also draft and advise on privacy policies, data collection processes, data management policies, data sharing agreements and international data transfer agreements. Members of their team also offer expertise in the privacy rights of individuals, including applying for and defending privacy injunctions, and freedom of information laws.
The client base is very impressive and includes many well-known household names.
This role comes with excellent prospects for progression and would suit a candidate who is perhaps in a top-heavy team who is looking for a pathway for progression.
