Litigation Locum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Locum to join a large public sector organisation in a central location in the West Midlands. The contract is to start as soon as possible and is expected to run for 6 months initially with the potential for extension.

The client is looking for a strong Litigator who has experience of dealing with a mixed caseload of general Litigation matters. Candidates who specialise solely in either Civil or Criminal Litigation will also be considered.

Possible day-to-day duties may include:

• Advising on range of litigious matters and representing before Courts and Tribunals
• Responsible for care and conduct of legal matters, obtaining of civil orders in the Magistrates' Court, County Court or Committee including but not limited to Forced Marriage Protection Orders; Sexual Offences Prevention Orders; Closure Orders; Licensing; Injunctions to Prevent Gang Related Violence; Proceeds of Crime Act applications
• Carrying out any other duties commensurate with the purpose and grading of the post that may from time to time be determined.

This role is offering a flexible hourly rate depending on experience but we have been advised that they are hoping to achieve a budget to pay between £30 and £35 per hour. Our client is ideally looking to secure a suitable candidate on a full-time basis, and there is also the potential for flexible working hours.
