Job Details

Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive - Eastbourne 2yrs PQE+

An interesting role at one of the region's established law firms providing a full service to clientele across the East Sussex region. With the firm based at several sites this particular opening is seated at one their Eastbourne offices and represents quite a unique opportunity within a localised Eastbourne community.

The position would suit a Solicitor/Legal Executive with 2 or more years PQE Private Client expertise. Candidates will need to be technically sound and have gained practical knowledge of private client law. You will effectively work largely unsupervised (with very little distractions!) in a smaller community based office that has a history of playing a pivotal role within the local area and serving a great number of individuals with sound, professional and tailored advice. Being an excellent communicator and a personable individual with the desire to take part in marking and generally promoting the profile and services of the firm locally and being part of the business community will really see you flourish.

Responsibilities will include working for elderly and vulnerable clients, preparing Powers of Attorney, administration of estates, Court of Protection work and administration of client's financial affairs, drafting Wills, administering trusts and advising on inheritance and capital gains tax issues.

As a qualified individual you will take on and develop an existing case load within the Private Client Department with secretarial support and wider support from the practice overall. Everything is in place to pick up and develop this position with a great deal of autonomy on offer and a two tiered and tailored bonus structure in place providing further reward and incentive.

An acronym of the latin phrase quod erat demonstrandum which translates as "thus it is demonstrated" or "that which was to be demonstrated". It is most often used as an annotation at the end of a complex mathematical, scientific or philosophical argument to show that the author had proven what he had set out to prove. In recent times it has also been translated as "Quite Easily Done".
