As Chief Legal Officer, you will advise our Leader, Members and Council’s leadership team in ways to successfully transform services for our Norfolk community, working across a range of organisations and partners in a dynamic and changing context. This means being ambitious, enterprising, dedicated and efficient in delivering excellent services.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering effective governance arrangements and ensuring high ethical standards as the Council’s Monitoring Officer. You will have an overarching accountability for a successful legal trading arm and our Democratic Services.

As a qualified Solicitor or Barrister, with a superb record of building relationships and providing strategic legal insight and advice, you will be confident in working across the council, with our Elected Members and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will have a key role in helping to realise our objectives and ultimately improve the lives of our residents
