The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Safeguarding and Community Services Team in Legal Services, which is based at Tooley Street. It is a very busy and dynamic team which comprises of 16 lawyers who are currently supported by 2 full-time and 1 part-time legal assistant.

This is the ideal role for someone looking to develop their legal career or possibly returning to work within law after a career break.
Educated to Stage 1 Ilex level or a law degree or equivalent, we need someone who has some experience of handling a legal case load. Principally this role supports the child care lawyers in undertaking care proceedings, by undertaking drafting, issuing and serving various applications. In addition the successful candidate will hold a small caseload of section 7 and section 37 cases (Children Act 1989) and deal with requests for access to files.
This is a job share role working up to 18 hours per week. Monday - Wednesday (am).
