Head of Legal Operations

The Role

This is not a typical Head of legal operations role. Reporting into the MD for Legal Businesses you will have the autonomy to shape and define the companies legal businesses.

You will lead and inspire their team of lawyers & paralegals, ensuring that service level targets are achieved and customer satisfaction is industry leading.

You will work collaboratively with stakeholders and contribute to the strategic direction of the business by working closely with the MD and deputising where appropriate.

This role will be based in the heart of Bristol City center.
This role will have you working with an experienced team and managing them.

Key responsibilities;

• Leadership of the Legal Team, setting objectives, providing development opportunities
• Encouraging a high performing culture and behaviours in line with the company values and where necessary supporting and managing under performance
• Coaching and inspiring the management team
• Driving the achievement of their service level agreements ensuring their customers are at the heart of everything you do
• Ensuring the successful audit of legal guidance service
• Acting as the training principle for trainee solicitors and to support Cilex trainees
• Governance of the department with regards to SRA requirements

The Candidate

You'll be a qualified solicitor with technical experience and knowledge of all legal requirements. A background in consumer law is a benefit.

You'll be an experienced people manager with a proven ability of leading, inspiring and motivating a team in a customer centric environment at a senior and strategic level.
You will be results orientated and with an entrepreneurial flair spotting opportunities to scale and grow the legal business whilst delighting your customers.
