Job Details

This is a Associate Family Solicitor position with a highly regarded practice who have recently secured some large contracts and attracted heavy hitting talent. The Role

The firm are looking for an experienced Senior Family Solicitor to join the practice based in Colchester, Essex. They have recently secured new contracts in the Services for Individuals arm of the business and will consequently have a good deal of work to support the incoming Solicitor.

The range of Family work will range from; divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, financial proceedings relating to divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, all private children issues, including financial applications (Schedule 1), prenuptial agreements and pre-civil-partner agreements, advice for unmarried families, international aspects of separation and divorce, domestic violence and protection from abuse, and injunctions.

The successful candidate will be expected to meet fee earning and other KPI targets, to ensure the successful development of the firm in line with the current business plan, to handle all forms of employment law issues for commercial / private clients, and to develop their own case load with commercial emphasis. Further, they will be expected to maintain and improve client care and to participate in the marketing of the firm by actively participating in networking activities.

Requirements

  • You will be a Family Solicitor with at least 7 years PQE (there is no upper limit to the level of experience)
  • Experience handling Private Family matters is essential as there is no legal aid component to this position.
