Our client is a large PLC looking for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join their highly regarded in-house team. Based near Durham this is an exciting opportunity for a proven Real Estate Solicitor to join a company involved in leading edge, interesting projects and become their in-house property expert.

You will need to be able to point to a proven track record in commercial property dealing with a wide range of matters including most notably - leases, licenses, property development projects and planning.

The company are involved, and will be continued to be involved, in a range of interesting schemes so this position provides the opportunity to be involved in a crucial part of the businesses development and growth.

In this position you will also manage the relationship with external counsel and broaden your skills by getting involved in more general commercial matters as well.

The successful candidate must be able to point to strong communication skills and good business and commerciality skills. You will need to be hungry and ambitious and keen to push your career forward in a vibrant, fast moving in-house legal department.

In-house experience would be desirable, but the client would consider a private practice lawyer looking to move in-house who could point to good business and commercial skills.

Our client envisages that candidates with a minimum of 5 years PQE plus will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.
