An established local Portsmouth firm fully conversant in dealing with a mixed and varied caseload of Personal Injury claims have an excellent opportunity for a Legal Secretary to provide support to the establish Personal Injury Team with a background in personal injury.

The role would suit an experienced who is able to provide a high level of support in assisting the fee earners. The role not only covers the core basics of legal secretarial work but will also provide the opportunity to expand on your skills and knowledge by undertaking duties such as drafting court documents and preparing trial bundles and precedent H forms as well as producing documents using digital dictation and case management systems.

The firm are therefore looking to appoint a proven Legal Secretary with several years experience acquired in a legal practice. The position would suit a friendly and professional attitude and needs an adaptable individual who is keen to take responsibility and deal with some of the more complex workloads. Any further training will be be provided of course to enable you to develop your expertise and you will work very closely with the Solicitors and Legal Executives and will be supporting up to four fee earners at any given time.

You will need to be very organised, work effectively, often under pressure with good accuracy and ideally a typing speed of 70wpm. Good familiarity with Microsoft Office You will play a key part in the Personal Injury Team who deal with a wide variety of claims to simple RTA to the more complex higher end matters. The firm operates out of an open plan office in Portsmouth they like to foster a professional yet warm, friendly non-corporate working environment.
