Legal Director- Construction

We are working in partnership with a leading National to assist in the hire of a non-Contentious Construction Lawyer, for either their East Midlands or Birmingham office.

Ideally the suitable Construction lawyer will offer a minimum of 5+ years PQE. The need is due to expansion, and a continual influx of non-contentious work.

This is a rare role, where it is essential to attract a technically able solicitor who won't be expected to win new business, but who can act as a responsible, reliable lead in non-contentious work that comes in from repeat clients, who can guide and steer the existing team of more junior lawyers successfully.

Directories recognised, our client's national construction and engineering team consists of legal specialists dedicated to this area. They advise on both pre and post-contract and handle a broad diet of high-profile national and international construction projects, including contentious and non-contentious work and procurement advice. Main sector focus on education, public sector, retail, utilities & energy.

The requirement for this hire is in either their top tier East Midlands office or their Birmingham office.

About the Construction Lawyer:

You will be an established member of a recognised Construction and Engineering team in a national or leading regional law firm.

It is essential that a depth of experience is brought to this role in dealing with both technically complex matters and leading a team of junior solicitors, providing strong and effective delegation skills, combined with a supportive nature.

Ideally offering a minimum of 5+ years PQE.

Those who have worked on a mix of contentious and non-contentious work will be considered, however this role is aimed at a Construction Solicitor who has a leaning towards non-contentious work, and who sits comfortably on this side of construction law.

It is not essential for this hire to have a following - which make this role particularly rare. There is so much work that a following won't be required.
