Description
Cheshire Constabulary has an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer to join our Legal Services team based at our Force Headquarters full time on a permanent contract.


As a Lawyer you will be required to assist the Head of Legal Services and Assistant Head of Legal Services to deliver a comprehensive and professional legal service to the Chief Constable, the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Chief Fire Officer. The Lawyers in the team advise and represent the Constabulary, the Commissioner and the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service predominantly by acting as the Respondent in civil litigation and employment claims and Officer conduct matters as well as providing advice and casework in relation to commercial and procurement law. The ideal candidate will have experience of offering legal advice and undertaking litigation in respect of two of these areas to a high standard.
