Our ambition is to be the best council and the best city in the UK.
Leeds is recognised as the leading legal centre in the UK outside London and is the second largest metropolitan local authority in the UK. As well as having the capability to offer outstanding work, we can also offer exceptional support and resources. This post provides you with an opportunity to join a major local authority legal team to undertake quality legal work.
We recognise the importance of having a workforce that reflects the people of Leeds. We are committed to valuing diversity and treating fairly everyone who works for us or wishes to work for us.
You will work within a small and supportive team of legal officers dealing with a varied caseload of litigated claims including personal injury, employers’ liability, public liability, property damage, industrial disease and motor claims.
We are looking for a Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive (or equivalent) with strong knowledge and experience of liability claims, personal injury litigation and civil procedure.
It is essential that you have good interpersonal skills, are able to plan and organise your own workload with minimal supervision in a supportive environment and that you are able to work to tight court deadlines whilst fulfilling quality and service standards. You will be a strong team player, flexible, enthusiastic and committed.
For an informal discussion, please contact Jamie Comer on 0113 378 9070.
