Do you want to make a difference to the Children and Families of Sandwell?
Are you motivated in achieving results?
Are you up for a challenge?
Then we would like to hear from you…..

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity and are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced advocate to join our busy but friendly Child Care team, to undertake all aspects of the advocacy in care and adoption work.

You will have a detailed knowledge of child care and adoption law together with extensive advocacy experience of contested and complex matters in the Family Court at all levels.

You may be expected to carry a small caseload of care matters but advocacy will be the main part of the role.  Knowledge of Judicial Reviews particularly in No Recourse to Public Funds/unaccompanied asylum seeker children including age assessments is desirable.

You will need to be flexible in your approach and will be required to work as part of the team. You must be able to work on your own initiative, be attentive to detail and have good time management skills.

You must be a qualified solicitor/barrister with four years child care PQE, of which the last 3 years must have involved advocacy.

Closing Date: 14th September 2018
