In-House Lawyer 12 month FTC job with financial services company in Bristol

Your new firm
This Global financial services provider is looking for an In-House Lawyer to join their Legal team in Bristol on a 12 month fixed term contract to provide effective support to their UK business and act as their Data Protection Officer.

Your new role
You will be assisting the Head of Legal, as well as assisting the wider business with a varied range of projects and tasks that require both legal support and review. From contract drafting and negotiation across a full spectrum of suppliers and partners, through to drafting retail terms of business and client agreements and providing day to day advice to the businesses and supporting a wide range of commercial and corporate projects, your role will give you a great opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the business. You will ensure that they remain fully compliant with all their legal obligations including company secretarial and data protection accountabilities for at least 15 UK group companies.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience in a similar position and will have experience within the Financial Services industry. You will have a thorough understanding of data protection requirements, including the GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. A good understanding of financial services regulation, company law, corporate governance and company secretary accountabilities will stand you in good stead. This would be a great role for individuals who are self-starters looking for a high level of autonomy with great exposure to senior management. Strong communication, organisation and project skills are essential to succeed in this role.
