An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Legal Services Directorate of the National Assembly for Wales.  We are looking to recruit a trainee solicitor to join the team to provide drafting services and legal advice in the fields of public law and legislation; commercial law; information law; and litigation.

The Appointment will be fixed term for a period of 2 years.  Subject to successful completion of the training contract, the successful candidate may be eligible for appointment to a permanent post at the National Assembly as a qualified solicitor.  

This is an exciting time in the development of the National Assembly as Wales’s parliamentary body and offers the opportunity to work on high-profile politically-sensitive issues with senior Welsh politicians.  The post-holder will also develop working relationships with the Welsh Government, the UK Parliament and the other devolved legislatures in the UK.

All potential applicants would need to have completed their LPC by the time of appointment.
