Paralegal

Paralegal - A new role has arisen in the property department of a leading law firm in Hampshire. The successful paralegal will hold a law degree or equivalent CILEx qualification and have previous legal experience in law practice or commercial in-house legal team.

Main duties and responsibilities
·The main roles and responsibilities will be to support other fee earners in the team in all
·aspects of their caseload, including but not limited to.
·Part of a team dealing with recovery of leasehold service charges through a case
·management system.
·Drafting and issuing letters before action, proceedings in the county court and notices under s.146 Law of Property Act 1925.
·Undertaking research.
··Preparing bundles for court.
··Drafting routine correspondence, court applications and statements under supervision;
··General case management (including liaising with the courts, clients and opponents, process servers and advocates).
··Instructing advocates/counsel where necessary.
··Preparing disclosure of documents.
·
Paralegals are expected to use a high degree of self management and initiative and
have a responsive and proactive approach to the work. Candidates should have good communication, administration and good IT skills.

Salary to £21,000 + Bonus + benefits
