In House Solicitor Job - Caerphilly - Flexible Working

An In-house Commercial Solicitor is required to join a global company to join their team and provide legal and compliance advice to their UK division. The role entails extensive contact and interaction with business representatives at all levels of the organisation. This organisation is continually recognised as a top company to work for offering a vibrant, flexible working culture. 

There is parking and also an onsite canteen. This is a very and forward thinking organisation and would suit someone who is looking to step away from a traditional fee earning role. You will work closely with the Head of Legal on a daily basis and will focus predominately on client based work.

The role will have a strong UK focus but on occasion may involve international project work. This is a very hands on role and will include managing customer and supplier contracts, assisting and advising in the negotiating and drafting of contracts, ensuring that the companies compliance requirements are fulfilled, including with regards to consumer information and FCA regulations, and mitigating risk.

There is also involvement with data protection compliance where you will guide and advise the management and customer support teams with legal matters when needed. 

What you’ll need to succeed

• High degree of flexibility and self-motivation.
• A Qualified solicitor (preferably 2+ PQE)
• Strong drafting skills and good commercial acumen.
• Able to deliver high quality legal advice in a commercial context.
• Experience within the financial & data industries and/or previous in-house experience would be an advantage but is not a pre-requisite
• Comfortable briefing senior management on significant legal issues
