I am working with one of the largest renewable energy organisations who are are looking to hire an In House Legal Counsel to join their team in Shanghai. You will have 5+ years experience gained either at a reputable law firm or company, preferably in the construction and / or energy sectors.

You will be responsible for handling all legal matters related to their assets in China. Candidates will ideal have had exposure to corporate, commercial, drafting / negotiating of complex contracts and it would be highly beneficial if you have had exposure to energy projects and project finance.

You must have a good understanding of Chinese corporate law, litigation, land law, labour law, contract law, and general acts, rules and regulations of the judicial system in China. Familiarity with legal regulations relating to renewable energy (solar and wind energy policies and incentive programs) is preferred. A good understanding of legal and regulatory issues applicable to US multinationals operating in China is also required.

You will have gained an LLB from a top ranked Chinese University, have native Mandarin language skills and ideally be PRC qualified as well as US.
