RTA Paralegal

RTA Paralegal - An RTA Paralegal is required to work for a law firm in Whitstable, Kent. The RTA Paralegal will run a caseload of RTA recoveries and defendant claims to include credit hire claims, uninsured loss claims and outlay recoveries claims as well as small claims and fast track defendant work. The RTA Paralegal will be able to work proactively to settle cases in accordance with the insurer client’s SLAs and have the ability to communicate effectively with both lay and insurer clients, keeping them informed of the progress of claims.
Skills/Competencies required:
·Experience in running own legal caseload and being responsible for making judgements on liability;
·A knowledge of Defendant work both in and out of the MOJ process;
·An ability to deal with all aspects of recoveries claims;
·Enthusiastic team player who works effectively with colleagues;
·Experience of using a case management system;
·Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt your style to suit the audience;
·The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines inline with SLAs;
·Computer literate and able to do own typing;
·Experience of dealing with insurer clients (desirable);Law degree/LPC/CILEx or equivalent (desirable).

This role will be a 6 month fixed term contract with a pro-rata salary to £20,000.
