We provide strategic and professional advice and services covering all aspects of local government law.


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor specialising in Commercial and Procurement law to join our dynamic and growing team during a period of significant transformation and major project delivery within the Councils supported by the Legal Partnership. This post will have a focus on procurement, contracts and major project support, working in conjunction with the corporate and information law team. You will also be required to provide additional ad-hoc support across the full range of services offered to both Southampton and Fareham Councils.


To be successful you will be a practicing Solicitor or Barrister with 3+ years Post-Qualified Experience together with strong advocacy and advisory skills and competence with IT and case management systems. In addition, you will have an enabling, positive approach to finding solutions to complex problems, good appreciation of risk management and working flexibly across a multi skilled team supporting colleagues regardless of speciality is essential.
