Insurance Solicitor/Associate - Personal Injury

Bristol

A Solicitor is wanted for an excellent opportunity with a Top 50 Defendant law firm to assist the Partners on a varied caseload as well as working independently for a team based in Bristol. Salary is negotiable dependant on experience

The firm is seeking applications from candidates with suitable defendant insurance law experience (3-5 PQE+) who are able to demonstrate a real interest in handling a wide variety of interesting and challenging defendant work.

The main function of the job is to demonstrate technical and commercial expertise and the ability to deliver results within required time frames in order to provide the highest service level to external clients.

Main Duties Include:

- Achieve time recording targets split between chargeable and investment time in any one financial year;
- Achieve individual financial targets in line with sales plan;
- Dealing with a caseload on a variety of Property, Product Liability and EL/PL matters. Experience of advising on policy validity and coverage would be advantageous.
- Drafting various pleadings, reports to clients, attending court hearings, working to court deadlines, liability investigations with Defendants, considering interesting causation issues as well as exposure to cost issues at the conclusion of such matters.
