Our legal team provides advice and support to lay activists and paid officials across the full range of legal services, including advice on employment law, industrial disputes, teachers’ contracts and legal challenges to government policy.

Deputising for the National Official, you will oversee, as well as undertake, the work of the team, instructing solicitors, managing cases up to and including Employment Tribunals and reporting on the overall quality of casework services.

An experienced legal advisor, you will have lead responsibility in the team for managing the processing and negotiation of settlement agreements for NASUWT members, including advising members on the terms and legal implications of the settlement agreement and signing the adviser’s certificate.
