This job is Temporary for 18 months due to specific funding.
This is a new post in Legal Services working across the Council and in particular supporting the Council’s Information Governance team and Data Protection Officer. Your background may be in Local Government, public sector or private practice.
The post will deal with complex work relating to information law and practice with particular emphasis on EU GDPR 2016, Data Protection Act 2018, as well as Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental Information Regulations 2004; Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000. Flexibility is required and an ability and aptitude to undertake other work such as procurement, commercial law and other areas of local government practice would be an advantage.
