Due to expansion a legal 500 law firm seek an Associate for their personal injury team to join their Multi Track team in Bristol on a permanent, full time basis.

The successful Catastiphic injury associate will be responsible for running a caseload of complex, high value multi track personal injury claims, including catastrophic injury claims including. RTA, OL/EL/PL and will include complex cases in terms of liability and value.

Main Duties:

- Handling a caseload of off portal personal injury claims involving liability and causation disputes
- Reviewing cases upon transfer and assessing the prospects of the claim succeeding
- Submitting files for closure when appropriate, if for example, there is no prospect of success;
- Taking responsibility for financial performance of own caseload; and assisting other Fee Earners and your Team Leader as directed from time to time

We would like to hear from solicitors or candidates with equivalent qualifying experience, who are looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced, modern and supportive environment.

Experience Required:

- Experience of handling your own caseload in a team environment consisting of non-litigated and litigated Claimant personal injury cases
- The ability to run a caseload of high value and complex cases with demonstrable experience of handling Employers liability, Occupiers liability, Public liability and RTA cases
- Experience of handling high value multi track claims with demonstrable technical expertise in cases such as spinal cord injury, amputation claims and brain injury cases
- Knowledge and experience of handling cases in which liability is denied, there are high Client Care issues, complaints generated transfers and good experience of post-issue cases;
- Good knowledge of the CPR and litigation tactics, as well as the ability to run a caseload containing a high proportion of litigated cases;
- Knowlegde of case management systems and excellent IT skills are needed
- LVI, Fraud RTA claims and previous supervisory experience is desirable.
