THE FIRM
One of the world's leading international law firms.
THE ROLE
Within an integrated department whose work includes the employment, pensions and incentives aspects of some of the largest corporate transactions as well as advising on business transfers, redundancies and corporate restructurings.
On the advisory side, they advise the firm's substantial corporate client base on the termination or appointment of directors and senior employees on enforcing restricted covenants and general employment advice.
Role and responsibilities
Acting as the day-to-day contact for advising clients on a wide range of employment issues
Taking responsibility for the employment aspects of corporate transactions of all kinds, including share and asset sales and outsourcings;
Developing the practice by promoting the Firm and its work - both to existing and potential clients.
Drafting, reviewing and amending the legal and commercial aspects of documentation
Providing efficient professional support for partners
Developing professional relationships with clients
Supporting the wider team in developing business and raising the profile of the firm
Managing/supervising the work of others including trainees
ABOUT YOU
An associate who currently works in a recognised employment practice you will have between 2-5pqe+ in employment and will be capable of substantial work with limited supervision
The candidate will have a strong academic background and a demonstrable, high level of intellectual rigour and experience in employment aspects of transactions and in dealing with employment issues in relation to directors and senior executives
Pensions or share plans experience, would be useful but this is not essential as this is principally an employment role.
