Job Details
Over recent years NTU has been hugely successful in delivering its Employability agenda. Six years of year on year investment has created probably the most comprehensive service to students of any university, a curriculum that includes careers education within every course and the requirement that every student undertakes an assessed work experience. To match our offer to our students we also have a comprehensive service for employers which provides the highest quality service and access to the broadest range of graduate talent.
We have made great progress, but our ambitions remain undiminished, therefore to help shape and plan for the next stages of our development we are looking to add further talent to our team and recruit a Deputy Director of Employability. This is initially an 18 month fixed term appointment designed to contribute to the thinking, planning and preparation for future implementation; there is the potential for a permanent position to emerge at the end of 18 months.
To be successful you must have a strong track record of academic leadership as the role includes the line management of an academic team, be able to think strategically and deliver tactically, evidence a deep understanding of the employability agenda within Higher Education, have an extensive network of relationships across the sector and have the passion for making a difference to every one of our 30,000 students.
If you would like to discuss informally your potential application to this exciting role, please contact David Eade, Director of Employability david.eade@ntu.ac.uk
