They are highly ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers and are Top tier across a few areas. Despite their size they have a culture that is unlike a lot of large commercial firms. They are very dynamic in their approach and have a real entrepreneurial spirit. It is common for NQ's to work alongside Partners and they do not have a pyramid type structure. Fee earners of all levels are encouraged to go out and meet with clients and get involved in business development. They have real work life balance and offer really good prospects. Many candidates have joined the firm from larger international firms, wanting to maintain a good quality of work but want to go to a more forward thinking firm. It is this culture which has given them one of the best staff retention rates around - 98% over the last 2 years.

The Competition department deals with a really varied client base including FTSE 100 and 250 business both in the UK and overseas. The deal with a broad range of work including; cartel damages claims before the English and European courts as well as privately negotiated commercial settlements; appeal proceedings before the Competition Appeal Tribunal; European Commission investigations; proceedings before the House of Lords, the Court of Appeal and the European courts. Their Competition department deals with heavy weight work and many of the Partners are listed in the Legal 500 and are the first port of call for major investigations.

You will be a Commercial Litigator with at least 1 years PQE. Ideally you should have experience in Competition Law and have come from a highly regarded Commercial Litigation department. If you do not have much experience in Competition law, you should have strong Commercial Litigation experience.
