Legal Counsel - Shipping

Douglas Scott are pleased to be working with a well known client in the world of Shipping . They are seeking a Qualified UK Lawyer with at least 5 years PQE to join their award winning Legal Team.

We are seeking Solicitors with a broad Finance background who have experience to date across a variety of loan agreements and security documentation. It is not essential that this has been shipping finance, although we would be interested to hear from those people.

As Legal Counsel, you will sit as part of a wider team which handles a wide range of legal work across multiple jurisdictions. In addition to a suite of Finance documents, your expertise will incorporate Corporate Finance work such as Capital markets and Private Equity raises. You will also be involved in the drafting and reviewing of commercial agreements handled by the business, both shipping and non-shipping related, but including pool agreements, Charterparties, shipbuilding, offshore supply, sale and purchase, JV and participation etc.
