Your new company
A world leading public service broadcaster providing audiences in the UK with high quality and distinctive services across television, radio and online. They are a diversity champion and promote a good working environment for all existing and potential staff ensuring equal treatment for all of their employees. They have a 70 strong in-house legal team covering Employment, commercial, competition, IP and technology. The employment legal team is undergoing significant growth and there is now a need to employ a number of Lawyers, in a range of permanent and fix term contracts.
Your new role
As a Senior Lawyer, you will be a recognised subject matter expert in Employment. You will be responsible for helping manage the provision of in-depth advice across the company as well as providing high quality advisory services for senior managers, HR Professionals and additional company subsidiaries. You will provide advice on a variety of issues including discrimination, grievances, disciplinaries and contractual disputes, as well as working on employment tribunal cases.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the role, you will be a fully qualified Lawyer with extensive experience within employment law, either from an in-house team or within a leading law firm. You should have experience of handling UK contentious employment disputes, and have a track record of providing proactive, expert and authoritative legal advice. Finally, you will be able to work independently, managing your own caseload, as well as having an understanding of the issues affecting the company and wider media industry.
