Senior Legal Assistant
The Southampton and Fareham Legal Services Partnership is part of the Southampton City Council's Strategy Hub. The shared service between Southampton City Council and Fareham Borough Council is an outcome focused service recognised for professional excellence as winner of Project Team of the Year 2017 and a finalist in four other categories of the Lawyers in Local Government Awards 2017, including Legal Team of the Year.
Reporting to the Senior Solicitor, Child Care and working within the busy and high profile Legal Child Protection Team and using Iken CMS, this position offers an excellent and rewarding opportunity for an experienced, hardworking and proactive child care lawyer.
You will need a relevant degree or equivalent plus FILEX and evidence of prior experience of working in a legal services environment comprising a minimum 5 years PQE. You will need experience of child care matters, including safeguarding, adoption and fostering and have excellent drafting skills with the ability to run a full case load. Local Authority experience would be advantageous
